The Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa can be found just off the A5 in the heart of the Vale of Llangollen in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are numerous places of interest, historic buildings and shops to visit locally and the towns of Wrexham and Chester are 10 and 25 minutes drive away respectively. It is a low rise building with lovely original features set amongst some woodland, with a large car park suitable for both Group and leisure travellers. The original 19th-century inn has been extended, whilst still retaining the charm and comfort of a country house, now also providing the facilities of a modern hotel. The lobby was relocated following the building of the spa Complex and is now positioned in the centre of the hotel now with access as you enter to the left to the main bar and restaurant and to the Spa on the right. It has oodles of natural light, is a good size and staff are pleasant and welcoming. With it's location a few minutes drive from the centre of Llangollen, this is a super hotel to explore the picturesque town and area - all around are canals, rivers, stunning countryside and historic bulildings and castles. The Spa Complex building containing the higher category rooms has been superbly constructed mirroring perfectly the exterior of the original building. This is a lovely family owned property and with guests having unlimited use of the Spa (which includes a large hydro pool, steam room and sauna) this is an added bonus. The 31 "traditional rooms" (standard rooms) are located in the original building. They are of a medium size, en suite with bath and shower and contain all the amenities you expect of a 3 star property. The 15 "Superior Rooms" are fitted to a luxurious standard and provide more modern accommodation. With it's traditional flagged floor and comfy leather Chesterfield settes, the Courtyard provides a warm environment for a pre dinner drink or after meal coffee or liqueur. There is also free broadband WIFI. The Yew Tree Restaurant is award winning (1 AA Rosette) and serves a range of dishes that change daily. All produce is sourced locally and Welsh Black beef, Welsh lamb and fresh fish are delivered daily.

This is one of the area's premier hotels and has a truly wonderful location in one of the most beautiful areas in Great Britain. Situated at the end of a tree lined drive of one of oldest roads (A5), the hotel occupies it's own land in the magnificent Vale of Llangollen in North Wales with spectacular scenery, mountains, waterfalls, canals, steam railways and historic buildings. The markey towns of Oswestry and Wrexham are a little over 10 minutes drive away and historic Chester just 25 minutes. With it's superb views of the ruins of Dinas Bran Castle, you can really take in the panoramic scenery from the windows of the Cedar Tree Restaurant. The awarding winning restaurant- traditional in style - uses fresh, daily delivered local produce to create a unique and classical menu. The bar follows the same trends with it's ornate ceiling, leather chairs and historic fireplace. The original Country House was built in the late 19th Century durign the reign of Queen Victoria and has now been sympathetically developed whilst retaining the original features and ambience. The lobby is of a good size, more modern in contrast to the other rooms in the hotel with plenty of beige couches providing ample amounts of seating.
