Lew Barn a dog friendly B B is a converted barn with en suite accommodation in the village of Bradworthy, Holsworthy. It is perfectly situated for exploring both Cornwall and Devon and is close to the seaside town of Clovelly, surfing beaches of Bude, Westward Ho and Hartland point, shopping towns of Bideford and Barnstaple and National Parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor. It is also ideal for touring, cycling and walking, being on the doorstep to the Tarka trail and South West cycle route (no.3).We are a small friendly B B offering accommodation in the form of en-suite rooms with digital TVs and coffee and tea making facilities. We are on the SW cycle route (no.3) Lands End to John OGroates and close to the Tarka trail so if walking or cycling is your enjoyment you will love Lew Barn. In the local area we also have horse riding, Exmoor and Dartmoor Parks are only an hour drive away and of course there are many beautiful beaches where you can swim, sunbathe surf or just sightsee. If you prefer a more relaxing day then why not enjoy our grounds, have a barbeque or just sit and watch the fish in the lake, even try your hand at catching a few but make sure your rod licence is up to date, then later on as the day begins to draw in you could amble up the road to Bradworthy village, a short 5 mins walk, visit the local 14th century Inn and sample their fine ales and delicious food, if you time it just right you might be walking back beneath one of our magnificent sunsets. We will even provide you with a torch and umbrella for the walk!In the morning to set you up for the day ahead enjoy a full English breakfast freshly cooked from local produce where possible or if you prefer something lighter there is the continental option. This two star hotel has eight individually furnished bedrooms, a multi-award winning restaurant, two lounges, bar, breakfast room, restaurant and library. Crackling log fires create a cosy atmosphere year round. We are in an ideal location for touring the moors, Atlantic Heritage Coast, National Trust houses and gardens and The Eden Project. The name Highbre Crest is Cornish for 'peaceful hill', which is exactly where the house is situated - in a quiet position just off the B3254. Highbre Crest enjoys stunning views of the rugged North Cornwall coast at Bude and Widemouth Bay, and beautiful rural views of the Devon and Cornwall border. Looking eastward, the views stretch out to Brent Tor Church on Dartmoor and Rough Tor on Bodmin Moor, both favourites with walkers and nature lovers. The accommodation offers a guests lounge with a full-size snooker table, a very comfortable conservatory with panoramic views, and a dining room where delicious breakfasts are served. The property has a good sized garden in which you may relax. We have ample room for parking. Wireless internet available. Highbre Crest has been awarded a rating of four stars with a silver award by the English Tourist Council. The Bickford Arms has stood at Brandis Corner near Holsworthy since the 17th century, first as a coaching inn and now as a completely rebuilt traditional pub/restaurant offering bed and breakfast. Reduced to a shell by a disastrous fire in 2003, The Bickford Arms has been lovingly restored, into a stunning mix of period features and modern-day comfort. Glebe House Cottages offer 4 star luxury well appointed and beautiful Grade 2 listed cottages set in a tranquil 5 acre estate of Georgian Glebe House, located in North Cornwall, 6 miles from Bude. Glebe House Cottages are ideally placed to explore the local countryside and stunning North Cornwall coastline. We are only 10 minutes drive from the sweeping Atlantic coastline with its lovely sandy beaches yet in the middle of the rolling Devon countryside, well away from the crowds. Located on the National Cycle network Route No 3, it couldn’t be easier to hop on your bike and go! There are beautiful formal gardens and woodlands to explore with a children’s play garden, barbecue picnic area ready for you to use along with an indoor games room, laundry room and wetsuit drying facilities. There is also a heated outdoor swimming pool (May - October) and all-weather tennis court. Imagine lovely old buildings set in beautiful countryside – stone walls, wooden beams, and old studded doors; yet inside it is warm and comfortable with all that you need to make your stay as enjoyable and stress free as possible. We provide all bed linen, bath towels and kitchen linen - all you need to bring are your beach & pool towels! PLEASE NOTE: 3 The Pines is our own holiday apartment and is in SOUTH DEVON and so cannot take advantage of all that we offer at Glebe House Cottages in North Devon: it does however offer beautiful views of the River Dart & Dartmouth and has easy access to the stunning South Devon coastline with its gorgeous views and walks. The balcony is a great place to relax and watch the world go by along with the odd ship! (we are always envious when it is booked as we would love to be there rather than working!)
