1. Lavender and Clematis Cottages Beaworthy

Swardicott Farm, set in the heart of rural Devon, has two self-catering holiday cottages, Lavender and Clematis. The farm is ideal for a family to relax and explore in safety, use the games room and Wendy house and join in feeding the animals morning and evening. The renowned Tarka Trail passes the end of the drive, suitable for cyclists and walkers alike. Many stretches of coast are within easy driving distance, as are a wide variety of Devon’s holiday attractions, covering multiple interests from walking and fishing to paint balling and karting. Whatever you do, you return at the end of the day to stunning views of Dartmoor over the rolling landscape enjoyed from the tranquillity of the garden, or you can take a stroll around the farm to see the lake and the wildlife in the fields. Rough shooting is available over the farm and Trout fishing is available, both in the River Torridge and in lakes nearby. Renowned local pub 1 mile Lavender and Clematis Cottages are in a carefully restored stone barn. Each has electric heating, colour TV, video, DVD player, electric cooker and microwave. Laundry facilites are available in the farmhouse at a small extra charge. Clematis Cottage sleeps 4 and Lavender sleeps 6, with 2 in bunk beds. A cot and high chair are available by request, free of charge. Please note that you will only be able to book stays of 7 or 3 nights.

2. The Half Moon Inn Beaworthy

The Half Moon Inn is well known, not just for the fishing but for our superb food, cask conditioned ales, well stocked bar and wine cellar, with wines from around the world to suit most palates. A magnificent log fire is a focal point in colder weather and the unique village inn atmosphere creates an ideal setting for our guests to meet informally and mix with the local people. You do not have to fish to enjoy a relaxing time with us, we extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to stay, from walkers and cyclists to businessmen and property hunters! The Half Moon has had visitors from all over the world who have experienced the atmosphere of a traditional English inn, and many have returned several times. All the rooms in the main building at the Half Moon are typical of a building dating back to the 16th century, with exposed beams, low windows and one of the favourites has a sloping floor. Here at the Half Moon we currently have 11 bedrooms, 7 of which are housed in the main building, with a further four in our purpose built annexe. We are very pet friendly' here and our annexe is perfect for those who wish to bring their dogs, as it offers easy access to our courtyard and parking. However dogs are restricted to the guest bedrooms and bar. All the main building rooms have been recently refurbished with new bathrooms, bedding, drapes and modern flat screen televisions.
