The Manifold Inn is a delightful 200 year old former coaching inn offering warm Hospitality and renowned food at sensible prices. This lovely mellow stone building nestles on the banks of the River Manifold opposite the old toll house which used to serve the turnpike and river ford. It lies amongst the famous Derbyshire hills, home to some of England's most breathtaking scenery. Guest accommodation is in the converted old stone black-smith's shop in the secluded rear courtyard, the large converted barn or within the hotel. At the Jug and Glass Inn, we have nine en suite bedrooms that include tea and coffee facilities as well as a television and DVD player. We have twin rooms, doubles and a family room. Pets are allowed by arrangement, subject to a small fee. Please state when booking if you'd like to bring one. The Jug and Glass Inn is centrally situated between Ashbourne, Buxton, Bakewell, and Leek is just across the border in Staffordshire. There is also the popular town of Matlock and Matlock Bath - these are some of the many attractions of the Peak District. Set 1000 feet above sea level amidst the dramatic Peak District landscape, Buxton has been a popular holiday resort for centuries.
