The White Hart Hotel is a fantastic hotel that was built in the 15th century, which maintains many of its original features yet has been modernised without losing any of its character or charm. The 15 bedrooms are situated at the rear of the hotel, giving you peace and quiet, yet you are still in the heart of England's smallest city. Our acclaimed bedrooms are individually decorated whilst still featuring some of the more interesting historical features of the building. Located in the centre of Wells, it is close to all major tourist attractions. Wells Cathedral is opposite the hotel and the popular Bishops Palace Vicars Close are in close proximity. Wookey Hole Cave is just 2 miles away and the world famous Cheddar Gorge is only 5 miles away. The spiritual Glastonbury is also just 5 miles away. The historic city of Bath is just a 45 minute drive. We are located on the West East Mendip Way making us an ideal stay for walkers and cyclists alike. This family owned and managed accommodation is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful county of Somerset. Cycling and walking breaks can be arranged with help from the friendly staff. The Ancient Guest House Hotel is a family run, 2 star, Grade II listed building set on Wells Cathedral Green, facing the cathedral’s beautiful West Front. It was built in the 15th Century and has been run by the same family for the last 35 years. Ideally located in the centre of Wells, we are a short stroll from Bishop’s Palace, the moat and Vicar’s Close, said to be the oldest inhabited street in Europe. We are also only 5-10 minutes drive from a number of walks on The Mendips. Clarks factory outlet village is just 1—15 minutes drive and we are also only 2 miles from Wookey Hole Caves and 9 miles from Cheddar Gorge. Our acclaimed bedrooms are all individually decorated whilst still featuring some of the more interesting historical features of the building. Modern necessities such as hairdryers, LCD televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, and telephone with modem come as standard in the rooms. There is Wi-Fi access in some rooms and all communal areas. The unique atmosphere at our guest house is complemented by our AA rosette award-winning Rugantino Restaurant specialising in authentic Italian cuisine. With its friendly staff and warm, cosy surroundings, the Rugantino Restaurant provides the ideal setting for that special meal. The restaurant also prepares traditional English table d'hote menus. Built around a suntrap courtyard, this family-run hotel is situated in the village of Coxley, just 1.5 miles from the historic city of Wells, in the South Western part of England, great for exploring the many local tourist attractions and countryside. It features a fully-heated outdoor pool (open from late spring through to the end of summer) and a cosy lounge bar for you to relax in after a long day. Located on the A39, just outside of Wells, Somerset, Coxley Vineyard Hotel provides a relaxed environment complimented by a central location for both business and leisure travellers, easily accessible and with ample on site parking. Most of the rooms are on the ground floor of the hotel and all of them are comfortable, spacious and well appointed and all have ensuite bathrooms, with teacoffee making facilities, hairdryer, complimentary wi-fi access, and a laundry service is also available.
