Akademihotellet is a centrally located hotel with reasonable room rates. Many of the departments at Uppsala university are within walking distance. Uppsala city centre with shopping centres, movie theatres and restaurants is only a few minutes walk. We have our own parking places and buses to Arlanda airport can be reached by foot in 10 - 15 minutes. Akademihotellet is owned by Uppsala university. Everyone is most welcome! Some of the atmosphere from 1930 when the house was built has been preserved in the rooms. Many rooms have a fantastic view over the Cathedral and the historical surroundings in central Uppsala. From the beginning, the first student corridors in Uppsala were found in this house. Since then, the rooms have been renovated and are now very comfortable hotel rooms. For extended stay, there is also a small self service apartment in the hotel. All rooms have rustic furnishing with comfortable 90 cm beds and oak or beech furniture. Floors have parquet or linoleum flooring in traditional style. Most rooms have high windows and ceilings except on the fourth floor.

The size is medium. The lobby is small and decorated in 80's style with dark winered and green colours with white walls and stone floors. There is a restaurant that offers a la carte menu as well as combined coctailbar with lighter meals. Some Asian and Italian influence in the menus. Colours are also from 80's with winered, yellow and dark wood. Weekends popular jazz cafe is open at the coctailbar. 1 km to the nearest station (uppsala central station), 35 kms to the nearest airport (arly), 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop.
