Situated at the foot of Blencathra and with views across towards Skiddaw in the west and Helvellyn to the south this is a really beautiful location to spend some time. Build in 1688 this traditional Lakeland Inn with slate flagged floors ,beamed ceilings and open fires has 9 well appointed guest rooms all with excellent views. All rooms are en-suite with either bath or shower large flat screen TV teaand coffee making facilities . The Horse and Farrier has an excellent reputation for food and has received numerous awards and guide book recommendations..There is excellent wheelchair access disabled toilet and one ground floor guest room.
