The Holiday Club Saariselka is situated in the middle of the small village of Saariselka, surrounded by the Lappish wilderness. The building is a single-storey light grey structure with a distinctive shallow pointed roof. The lobby is small, although it does stretch out towards a bar area with additional seating. The design is simple, with light green/rose/grey colours, decorated with traditional crafts and souvenirs from the area. This is a very good modern hotel offering excellent leisure facilities included in the room rate. Bedrooms are all medium-sized and in good condition. All have an extra sofa bed. The decor is modern and simple, with floral curtains, cream-coloured beds and light pine furnishings. Bathrooms are also in good condition. The hotel also offers a variety of apartments and chalet-style accommodations close by. The restaurant is a semi-circular area behind the reception which has some views of the swimming pool and extensive spa facilities. Brown and green colours dominate, and plants are positioned everywhere to compliment the pool and to create a tropical spa environment.

Each of the cabins are located carefully apart to ensure a peaceful stay but still within easy reach of the worlds largest smoke sauna and local in house restuarant. Inside each cabin you will find a fireplace, shower, kitchenette, private sauna and peaceful terrance/garden area. Hotel Kakslauttanen is located in the Saariselka fell area amidst beautiful Lapland scenery in the vicinity of Urho Kekkonen National Park. The hotel has excellent connections and is easily accessible from the nearby Highway 4. Ivalo Airport is just 35 Kilometers away and scheduled buses stop right outside the hotel. The main hotel building holds host to the in house resturant where guests are served breakfast & dinner. International and local cuisine is on offer. Traditional log cabins with wood exterior.
