The hotel is well located and an excellent base in the 'Capital of Lapland'. RY1105 Outside of the hotel is a white brick structure with brown windows. The restaurant is located on the ground floor and is furnished in elegant style. Antique paintings adorn the walls, and the chairs are of comfortable leather. Bright yellow table clothes freshen the room up, as do the new carpets. The reception area is small, but benefits from the extra seating in the adjoining bar and restaurant. The Arctic Circle is only 8 km away. This modern city hotel comprises a total of 215 rooms set over five floors, of which three are suites. Facilities on offer include a foyer with 24-hour reception, a travel agency, a tourist information area, a souvenir shop, a hairdresser and lifts. Three a la carte restaurants, a cafe and a bar take care of guests' culinary wishes. Car rental is available within the hotel and there are on-site parking spaces. City Hotel is a high standard, pleasant privately owned hotel in the very heart of Rovaniemi. Only a few kilometres away, is the Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle where you can meet Santa Claus in person. The top floor of the hotel houses meeting rooms with AV equipment, as well as the sauna wing. In all, this is a friendly and comfortable product in a very convenient location. WIFI Internet access in hotel rooms and lobby area, free of charge for hotel guests. It is a modern building, 4 storeys high, constructed from grey and brown stone painted yellow. The interior is a mixture of modern and traditional designs. The lobby is small but functional and very homey. The restaurant Monte Rosa is on the ground floor and decorated in country style, with smokey wooden wall panelling and many paintings and ornaments which reflect Lappish culture and life, one of Rovaniemi's favourite dining spot offering international dishes and Lappish specialities. There is also a bar and an outdoor terrace during summertime. The world of music, bands and beer can be experienced in Kellari, the bustling pub in the hotel's cellar. The rooms are small and newly renovated. Beechwood and autumn colours are used for the decoration and furnishing. The bathrooms are also in very good condition, all with shower, no bathtubs. They are small and white.
