Parthenonas is one of the few traditional settlements in Greece, as characterized by the Greek Tourism Ministry. It is situated at Sithonia, Halkidiki, at an altitude of around 350m, overlooking Toroneos Gulf and the Isle of Kelyfos, and only 5km away from the cosmopolitan town of Neos Marmaras. Sithonia, the wider area at which Parthenonas is situated at, offers the visitor a wide variety of beaches to choose from, as most of them are awarded with the Blue Flag. Moreover, Mt. Dragoudelis, the mountain at the foothills of which Parthenonas is located, is preserved through the Natura Treaty, therefore it gives the opportunity to visitors that love nature, to explore and discover many different kinds of fauna and flora. The near by towns, such as Neos Marmaras, Nikiti and Sarti are well known lively towns that offer a variety of restaurants, tavernas, bars cafes and other services to choose from. Last but not least, Sithonia is the place that many different concerts and festivals take place, especially during summer, and is also very close from famous archaeological, and byzantine sites, such as museums,the Petralona Caves and Mount Athos, that are able to offer to the visitor a nice touch and view of the Greek history itself.
