Hotel Sant Joan is located 900 metres from the beach and 600 metres from Palamos town centre, in a wonderful country house built during the 18th century that nowadays offers a wide range of services to make visitors feel very comfortable during their stay on the Catalan Coast. The hotel features a wonderful garden featuring outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, as well as an outdoor play area where children will surely enjoy playing during their stay on the Costa Brava. Moreover, the Sant Joan hotel offers many other amenities, including a Wi-Fi Internet connection in the common areas, a bar, a reading and TV lounge and a reception desk open all day long. In Palamos there are beaches, the Fish Museum, Fish auction and the Port with a wide range of activities. Girona with its Jewish quarter is 45 km away and Figueres (60 km) with Dali's Museum. From Barcelona (120 km): - Leave the AP-7 motorway at exit 9A (St Feliu de Guixols-Palamos). - This road is the C-35 which leads onto the C-65 and then onto the C-31. - Once on the C-31, take the Palamos exit. From Girona Airport (35 km): - Once you leave the airport, take the road towards Cassa de la Selva. - Next take the C-65 (towards Platja d'Aro-Palamos). - This road then leads onto the C-65. - From there follow the above directions. From the French border (110 km): - Leave the AP-7 motorway at exit 6 and follow the directions to La Bisbal- Plamos (on the C-31). The hotel decoration has a palace type style. Walls in white carpentering; ceilings well preserved and a formidable wooden flooring; giving without doubt a warm touch. All together this makes radiant and clear spaces with decorative furniture from all over Europe. French antiques share the space with Russian carpets, oriental pieces including pieces of modern art. Several of the elements can be found in different areas and suites to create a unison atmosphere. One will find spectacular mirror frames, Dutch candal holders or picture frames throughout the building. A french “boiserie” , with a crystalised library covers the whole wall, the ceiling illuminated with Rumanian lights, where one can enjoy tranquil lecture on the comfortable meter and a half white linen covered sofas. The Restaurant, independent from the main building, is closed in by glass windows with dark frames matching the beams on the ceiling adorned with Parisian Lamps. Around the tables, with white tablecloths, different types of chairs. In the restaurant, one can enjoy traditional cuisine from this area plus many other succulent dishes.
