The village of Oddington lies some 2 miles east from the highest town in the Cotswold’s, the market town of Stow on Wold - ‘a meeting place on a rolling hill’. There are many enchanting villages the absolute quintessence of English rural life and Oddington is no Oddity in this respect, as it dates back to the 11th century and is unspoilt by tourism and still retains the character of the North Cotswold’s. Sleeping in a delightful woodland setting is the Church of St. Nicholas parts of which date back to the 12th century and to this day has an interesting '‘doom’ painting on its wall. This church still provides services and ceremonies for the village. Many of the village cottages are of 18th early 19th century origin with a few of earlier date around 16th century within the upper and lower regions of the village are two outstanding Inns renowned for their fine food and ales. The Horse Groom in Upper Oddington and the Fox Inn in lower. Who needs a full cooked English at 8:00 am when we provide you will all the ingredients for a healthy alternative on the lines of ‘continental style’ with added bonus of smoked salmon and eggs - but you have to scramble these yourself! Are you up to it? If so, don’t forget the champagne….(sssh this is available on request ) and we will provide all the rest including the washing up and bed making! Blenheim Suites Offering something a little different, we have two separate suites within the grounds, both offering privacy and views over paddocks and fields, together with a small secluded garden area. Ideal for the more discerning travelers, as you have the choice of picking your own breakfast time, so no need to rush down for an early start.
