The Estalagem is the oldest hotel in Obidos and has lots of character and it is ideal for a weekend away in the lovely medieval town of Obidos mp 09/07The bedrooms are large and traditonally decorated and they have kept the original furnishings belonging originally to the nuns. the beds are Cast iron framed and there are hand painted furnitures. The Estalagem used to be a monastery and its construction dates back to the medieval time .The restaurant is an extention of the building but built and decorated in harmony to the rest of the building ie. The cuisine is traditonal and very well presented and served a wide choice of winesTradtional style buildingThe lobby and reception area are very small but cosy, the decoration has kept many of the original features of this lovely building such as the low ceilings and the large wooden beams on the ceiling very well preserved and still is full use.
