We are a traditional pub located high atop Wenlock Edge and surrounded by stunning views of the Shropshire countryside. We offer rural hospitality to everyone from hikers and horse riders to lunchtime diners wanting a pub snack. In the evenings we host many locals, farmers and business folk enjoying real ale in the bar, or a glass of wine after a hard day’s work. Our extensive restaurant menus have been updated following our loving restoration in the Spring of 2008. The Wenlock Edge Inn now offers a wide selection of real ales (we are a member of CAMRA) fine wines, and Belgian Beers, alongside our local and regional produce. Enjoy the views from our superb enclosed patio, complete with a fish pond created from our own Wenlock Edge fresh water spring. Our rooms at 'The Edge' are a great place to base yourself if you are on a leisure break. If you don't want to go far then simply enjoy the idyllic setting; a short jaunt to the famous 400 million year old limestone edge is a must for those wishing for a scenic view, followed by an amble amongst the rare flowers or a cycle through sloping ancient woodland. The menu is traditional British pub food, from premium bar snacks, all the way up to great local steaks (with our hand-cut fat chips) and homemade pies, and seasonal game - also fresh beer battered scallops, lobster on our selected fish nights, and our daily fish board (depending on season). Using local and regional produce, we will be holding special events, where you can often meet our local suppliers, as many of them drink in the pub!
