The splendid, traditional Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo is housed within a historical palace located at the heart of Monaco and emanates an ambience typical of a city resort. Surrounded by wonderful lush green gardens, the hotel is located on the Place du Casino, within a few minutes walk of the tourist centre where an array of restaurants, bars and nightclubs are to be found. A wonderful sandy beach as well as the nearest links to the public transport network are about 10 minutes walk away. The large lobby is furnished and decorated with the most exquisite materials, from the fabrics of the curtains to painted leather panelled doors on either side. There are two marvellous large mirrors in elaborate silver frames behind the concierge desk and on the wall opposite. The floor is laid out with unpolished dark grey and beige stone, and the centre piece of this part of the lobby is a beautiful crystal chandelier. Following on from the lobby is another large lounge area, furnished with comfortable armchairs and sofas and low wooden tables, and situated below a mirrored and glass ceiling.
