This boutique hotel is situated minutes from Granada's centre and just 25 minutes from the coast. It is surrounded by the beautiful Sierra Nevada in the pretty village of Monachil. In 2009 the hotel was voted in the top 5 hotels in the Granada Province by Granada Hospedaje. The Alicia Carolina is built in a traditional Andalusian style. There is a lovely interior terrace. The hotel's balconies offer fantastic views of the mountain scenery and down the valley to the magnificent, historic city of Granada. The 10 bedrooms all have unique decor and a comfortable atmosphere. This includes details typical of the Andalusian region. There is free Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas. Free parking on site is also available. The Andalusian Coast and the Mediterranean Sea are within 30 minutes of the hotel. The Alicia Carolina has excellent bus links with Granada's historic centre. The city is famous for the Alhambra Palace and great tapas bars. By Car: -When you arrive on the Granada ring road (Circunvalacion de Granada), follow the signs for 'Ronda Sur-Sierra Nevada-Alhambra'. -Then exit at the junction marked Monachil. -When you reach a set of traffic lights cross straight over, when you reach the end of the road with all the restaurants you will see the hotel - keep a look out for its wooden balconies.

The hotel is located in Monachil, a typical mountain village with a splendid setting and marvellous views over the Sierra Nevada Natural Park. It is possible to reach Granada and The Alhambra in 10 minutes, Sierra Nevada ski resort in 25 minutes and in 45 minutes the tropical coast and the Alpujarras. The hotel, opened in 2000 and was renovated in 2003, includes a total of 20 rooms and 1 apartment spread over 3 floors. Facilities included a breakfast room, laundry service, as well as parking facilities for those arriving by car. All rooms have a bathroom, heating, air conditioning, TV and hairdryer. Some of them have a balcony and all of them have wonderful views over the mountains and the river. The rooms are comfortable and with attractive, regional decor. A swimming pool features within the hotel grounds (open during the summer). A buffet breakfast is served each morning. Take Granada's motorway to Ronda sur/Sierra Nevada until reaching the La Zubia/Cajar/Monachil exit. Follow the road to Monachil and continue straight on until seeing a sign for Monachil casco antiguo, follow that direction and it will then be possible to see the hotel sign.
