Castello Chiola - set in an impressive - stately castle dating from 887 enjoys a fantastic location on top of a hill - around which nestles the medieval village of Loreto Aprutino. Having recently undergone a complete renovation - the castle has been transformed into a magnificent - elegant hotel which retains much of the history of the building. The impressive entrance is decorated with ancient guns and swords fixed to the walls and opens onto a bright - spacious courtyard. On one side of the courtyard there is a panoramic elevator which takes guests to the upper 3 floors - each decorated with antique paintings and furniture - and this is where the rooms and suites can be found. All rooms have lovely views of the countryside and are elegantly and individually decorated and furnished. Not forgetting the comfort of guests - the rooms are also equipped with the modern technology you would expect. The hotel restaurant - Il Celliere - is set in the former stables of the castle and has a wonderfully historical atmosphere - some of the old pieces of furniture displayed here were found during the last renovation of the castle.
