Tucked away from the madding crowd, the Meadowsweet Hotel is a Family run place and is set in the picturesque village of Llanrwst. Here you will feel one of a kind, rather than one of the crowd. Most of our rooms have just undergone extensive refurbishment are en-suite with showers and have tea and coffee facilities, hair dryers and a televisions in each room. There are DVD players in most rooms and there is an extensive DVD Library at Reception. The Hotel also offers Free Wi-Fi Internet access in all bedrooms. Our Restaurant and Bar 'LLE HARI' has also just undergone an extensive refurbishment, with exellent reviews. It is also open to non-residents therfore we recomend you reseve a table to avoid dissapointment. We are centrally located, with a few minutes walk distance to all amenities in the village, and the lovely river Conwy with it's beautiful walks. Llanrwst is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park with countless lakes and endless walks. Sorry pets not welcome. Built as a Gentleman's Residence in 1850 on the site of the historic 13th century Cistercian Monastery, the hotel is situated within beautiful grounds with the foothills of the Snowdonia range providing a dramatic backdrop. As soon as you walk into our entrance hall with its magnificent galleried Victorian staircase and blazing winter log fire, you will immediately feel at home. Maenan Abbey Hotel has recently undergone a great deal of refurbishment. The restaurant, lobby and lounge have all been tastefully refurbished to a very high standard along with 6 of our bedrooms in a style sympathetic to the period of the building. Whilst maintaining its historic traditions, Maenan Abbey offers all modern hotel facilities. All fourteen bedrooms are en suite and offer a flexible mixture of single, doubles, twins, a four poster bridal suite and 3 family rooms. Here at the Abbey we pride ourselves on our cooking which offers a unique combination of traditional Welsh fair alongside more contemporary international dishes. We use only the finest products that are locally produced wherever possible and cooked to the highest standard. Our friendly bar is open to the public and attracts many locals and regulars as well as those guests staying with us, whilst our elegant residents lounge is the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet coffee after dinner. We can provide facilities for a variety of functions; we hold a Civil Ceremony Licence for Weddings, we can cater for private parties of different sizes, conference facilities are also available.
