Dan y Parc is conveniently located on the A483, making it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful counties of Carmarthenshire, Mid Wales, Ceredigion and the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is an ideal area for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers, carriage drivers and horse riders. We have four comfortably furnished en suite bedrooms (one super king size), all with tea/coffee making facilities, digital colour television, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, and free wifi internet access. A spacious beamed guest lounge, with a cosy log fire, is available for your use and provides an additional area in which you can relax, read a book, watch television, or play a board game. A secure area is available for bikes. A hearty breakfast, using produce sourced locally, and our own free range eggs, is served in our light and airy breakfast room, or on sunny days can be served outside on the decking. Vegetarian, or special dietary needs, can be catered for on request. Packed lunches and afternoon teas can also be provided if required. Freshly prepared home cooked three course evening meals, again using produce sourced locally and our own homegrown fresh vegetables, when available, are also available with twenty four hours' notice, at £20 per person. You are welcome to bring wine to accompany your meal. A woodland walk leading up to a swing seat at the top of the hill behind the house affords panoramic views of the Brecon Beacons and Red Kites can regularly be seen circling the ancient oak trees on the hillside, some of which are said to be over 500 years old. For those who wish to bring their horse on holiday, four spacious rubber matted stables are available, together with a turnout paddock. There are many miles of spectacular outriding, walking and cycling routes in the Crychan and Halfway Forests which are easily accessed from the back of Dan y Parc. A grade 2 listed 17th century town house situated in a historic market square opposite the fountain. All the bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard with en-suite bathrooms. The guests have a comfortable sitting room and choice of breakfast rooms, use of the walled garden, and private and secure parking at rear of property. Nestled amid 50 acres of Welsh countryside, this family-run guest house boasts comfortable en suite rooms, spectacular views of the Brecon Beacons and a wealth of outdoor activities. After a long day you can return to the comfort of the house to relax beside the log fire in the lounge bar or, in the summer months, you can unwind in the conservatory or on the terrace, which boasts breathtaking views of the Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons beyondThe farm presents itself as an ideal base from which to explore the natural beauty of Mid and South Wales and the Brecon Beacons. A farmhouse style breakfast is served each morning, consisting of a choice of fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt and a full cooked buffet. For evening dinner, 3-course meals are available (additional cost). The style is traditional, with old favourites such as steak and ale pie and chicken Llanerchindda. With prior notice, vegetarians are also well catered for with meals such as spinach and ricotta lasagna or mixed bean goulash. Light lunches are also available, as are packed lunches (additional cost). Please give the staff prior notice each evening. All food is home made on-site, and is prepared using fresh Welsh produce wherever possible. On Site there are also a number of activities available (additional cost) including quad bike trekking, clay pigeon shooting, 4x4 driving and fishing. The farm is the ideal base for many outdoor activities including Walking, Mountain Biking and Bird Watching. From the South take the A483 from Llandovery (to Builth Wells) after 5 miles enter Cynghordy and take first left by the phone box (Follow the Brown Signs to the Farm)From the North take the A483 from Builth Wells (to Llandovery) after 20 miles enter Cynghordy and take the first right by the phone box (Follow the Brown Signs). After mile take first right signposted station and follow road for 2 miles bearing right at the station, passing through a farm yard (Please drive carefully) and under the railway viaduct. Continue up a steep hill until you reach the farm.
