This is a good standard hotel, simple but attractively designed on both the inside and outside. The hotel is an attractive building with a striking modern design. The lobby is small but attractive with marble floor, a green and brown colour scheme and a little fountain. The restaurant is large and welcoming. The rooms are medium sized. Half have a balcony and a view over Saimaa lake. They are nicely decorated with light checked patterns and cherry wood. They are in good condition, as are the bathrooms. 2 km to the nearest station (lappeenranta), 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 3 kms to the nearest airport (lappeenranta).

The Cumulus Lappeenranta is located in the very centre of the city, within easy reach of all shops and restaurants as well as small lakes which circle the north of the town. Although a little worn in parts this is a comfortable hotel in an excellent location. The building is a modern brown stone and dark glass structure. A large bar, which serves food, is attached to the small lobby which is decorated with dark wood furniture and traditional looking lamps. The bedrooms are simple but modern with bright colours and light wooden furniture. They are in fair condition, as although they are perfectly clean and comfortable, they are a little worn in places. The restaurant is large with dark wood and rustic colours used throughout. There is also a small summer terrace by entrance (weather permitting!). 1 km to the nearest station (bus station), 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 270 kms to the airport (helsinki-vantaa), 3 kms to the airport (lappeenranta).
