Newly opened in the Summer of 2007, the 3-star Alexander II Hotel offers contemporarily styled accommodation, modern amenities and an excellent location. Located just a few metres from the Old Town walls and Planty Park encircling the heart of this historic city, the Alexander II is also superbly situated for guests arriving in Krakow by train, the main railway station being just a stone's throw way. The rooms vary a good deal in size, but all except those on the characterful top foor have lovely high ceilings. Those on the top floor have pretty sloping ceilings and many also have skylights. Both the rooms, which are classical in style, and their modern bathrooms are in exceptional condition. Some of the rooms can be a little noisy due to passing trains. These run very infrequently, but light sleepers might be disturbed by them. In addition to offering a hearty buffet style breakfast, the hotel assures guests a peaceful and relaxing stay right in the very heart of Krakow, and helpful staff are on hand to assist with organising excursions or simply recommending a great place to dine.
