Hotel Niels Juel has 49 recently renovated and modern rooms plus 1 suite. All rooms have shower- flat screen TV- mini bar and wireless Internet. Sauna and solarium in the basement. 5 minutes walk to the town centre and to a lovely beach well suited for children. The hotel offers golf holidays - 6 golf courses within 20 minutes drive. 5 banqueting rooms in different sizes. In July 1677 one of the greatest battles in Danish naval history took place at the northern approach to Koege Bay. About 90 large and small ships participated in this sea battle and the Danish fleet won over the Swedish fleet. This was primarily due to the Danish admiral Niels Juel and by winning this naval battle his name was enrolled in the annals of the Danish fleet as one of its very great heroes - if not the greatest. Therefore it is quite natural that Hotel Niels Juel in Koege is named after the commander-in-chief of the Danish fleet whose spectacular victory resounded all over Europe. The hotel was built in the style of an old warehouse in 1989 and has been totally renovated in 2008.
