The Avenue Restaurant with Rooms at the Victoria Inn occupies a prominent position in Court Street in the town centre of Haddington, close to banks and shops and with generous public parking nearby. It is a very convenient base from which to explore the history, countryside and coastline of East Lothian and to enjoy the sporting opportunities which its many golf courses offer. It also provides a useful overnight stop for long-distance travellers on the nearby A1. Accommodation is now provided in five recently-refurbished and well-appointed en suite rooms, suitable for couples, families or the single traveller. Each is equipped with preview TV, hair-drier and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, a relaxing vantage-point from which to watch the people of Haddington go about their business. Since it was opened in 2008 the award winning restaurant has acquired a fine reputation locally for the quality of its food, especially its Scotch beef and locally-sourced seafood. Lobster and mussels are a speciality. The restaurant is open seven days for lunch and dinner, and the bar serves the local Belhaven beers as well as a variety of real ales. Craig and Kirsty Hunter set high standards for themselves and their staff and work hard to please their guests. You can be assured of a warm welcome at the Avenue Restaurant with Rooms at the Victoria Inn.
