The Best Western Balgeddie House Hotel is set in its own peaceful gardens on the outskirts of Glenrothes, Fife. The Kingdom of Fife is one of Scotland's Sunniest areas, with a reputation of the finest kept beaches. Its reputation for as the home of golf is known worldwide and both the keen golfer and the beginner are well served with the range of challenging and enjoyable courses only a few minute drive from the hotel. The picturesque fishing villages surrounding Fife make delightful stopping off points and there are many fascinating attractions for travelers with time on their hands. Business travelers will find the proximity to Fifes key towns of Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline to be a benefit, all linked by an excellent road network. Scotland's Main cities of Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow are all within an hour travelling time. A Historic Scotland Listed Building, once a private house built around 1924 Balgeddie is tastefully decorated throughout. If you fancy a drink and a chat with the locals, Spencer's Bar is the place to be where you can join in the local gossip and enjoy a refreshing pint. The hotel amenities include a cocktail bar, patio, Brasserie Restaurant, and car parking with over 70 free car parking places. The hotel has currently 20 en-suite bedrooms with a further ten being available when our new leisure centre is completed. Rooms on the first floor tend to be larger and more opulent and are in keeping with the period of the house. Rooms on the second floor are more quirky, some with sloping ceilings but they remain good sized rooms and are decorated in a more modern style. If you are having a special occasion then you should consider our Honeymoon Suite, An extremely spacious room with a king sized bed, large comfortable chairs to lounge in and look out of the bay window on to the gardens below and to the hills beyond, well worth the indulgence. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.

Originally part of the Golden Acorn Hotel, this Wetherspoon hotel is conveniently located in the town centre. We have 26 individual bedrooms. All of our rooms are en suite and include tea- and coffee-making facilities, a hair dryer and TV. FREE Wi-Fi is available in the bar area. Situated just 25miles from Edinburgh and 20 miles from St. Andrews the Golden Acorn is the perfect location to base yourself, be it work or pleasure, whilst staying in the area.

A Great Place To Stay In The Kingdom Of Fife, Scotland. The Fife Arms Hotel is a small private, family run hotel offering comfortable clean accommodation, quality locally produced food and a warm friendly welcome to all. Lynne (Proprietor) can cater for small celebrations in the Milton Lounge' which seats up to 60 people. The Hotel is ideally situated for touring round Scotland - Edinburgh is only 30 minutes away as is St Andrews along the scenic East Neuk Coastal Route.. Aberdeen, Perth and Inverness are all within easy travelling distance. Public transport links are excellent: the railway station in Markinch is only 5 minutes away and we have a bus stop right on our doorstep. Edinburgh Airport is only 30 minutes away and its only 15 miles to Rosyth Ferry Port. The Fife Coastal path is on our doorstep, excellent walking and cycle routes nearby and we have an abundance of golf courses but a stone throw away! Perfect place to stay for the Open Championship.
