The Woodlands is a bed & breakfast situated in a secluded area close to the picturesque city of Ely with its imposing Cathedral and bustling market is just 4 miles away and the university city of Cambridge is 12 miles. Thetford forest, ideal for walking or cycling is a 30 minute drive. Newmarket with its Racecourse is 20 minutes and the Norfolk coast is approximately 50 minutes drive. Dinner is served in either our beamed dining room , the summer room over looking the garden, or (weather permitting) in the enclosed courtyard. We welcome children of all ages and have facilities from cots for the very young to climbing frames and swings for the older ones. A family room can be made up from a double and twin room sharing a common bathroom. The Woodlands is easily accessible from the A10 by car or from Ely railway station. We offer a free pick up service from the railway station. We are sure that your stay here will be enjoyable and a relaxing experience that you will want to repeat.

The Old School BB offers quality accommodation in a former village school located in a quiet village only a few miles west of Ely. The village can be accessed from either the A10 or A142 and is convenient for Ely, Cambridge, Newmarket, the Fens, Thetford Forest and the Norfolk coast. The Old School is set in an acre of gardens and horse paddocks, with splendid views across the Fens onto Ely Cathedral. The 3 bedrooms are all on ground floor level and have recently been tastefully re-decorated. They are accessible for guests with impaired mobility. Residents are welcome to relax in the guest lounge and conservatory overlooking the garden in the afternoon over a cup of tea or coffee and have access to a wide choice of books and information of local, geographical and historical as well as equestrian, canine and general interest. We have 5 dogs ourselves, so visiting dogs are very welcome at The Old School BB. We are Pets Welcome approved by Visit Britain. They can stay in the room with you and come to the guest lounge. We have a large garden and there are a number of nice local walks.
