With a fabulous riverside location , the-runnymede-on-thames is easy to reach by road, rail or air with our handy location on the banks of the River Thames , close to Royal Windsor and near to the M25 and Heathrow. Huge windows for wonderful dramatic views of the Thames, open spaces, fresh contemporary interiors and furnishings plus fantastic food concepts, gorgeous guest rooms, many with views of the Thames, an award-winning spa, a buzzy family-run atmosphere and friendly service. There is so much to enjoy and do at the-runnymede-on-thames and it's also perfect for relaxing or doing nothing at all! Just around the corner, you can have a whale of a time at one of the local attractions, wind back the clock at Windsor Castle or take a turn around local gardens and lakes. Our restaurants and spa are very popular so to avoid disappointment, please make dining reservations or book spa treatments before you arrive. Private boat hire is available from the hotel, please book with the hotel prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. The hotel is an entirely non smoking property. Leftbank closed Sunday evenings. The Lock Bar and Kitchen is closed Saturday lunchtime. The spa is open from 0630 to 2200 Monday to Friday and 0700 to 2100 Saturday and Sunday. Child access times to the spa are as follows:- Monday to Sunday 0800-1200 and 1500-1900. All Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times (1 adult to 3 children). The children's playground area is open from 8:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. unless the weather is inclement. Outdoor pool is open summer months only. Please note that once you have checked out of your room, regretfully as the health and fitness spa is a members and residents only club, the spa facilities will no longer be available to you, unless a late departure is agreed in writing by prior arrangement with the reservations team. Located near Windsor, Great Fosters is a fine example of Elizabethan architecture set within 50 acres. Whether attending a conference or planning a romantic escape, Great Fosters is the ideal setting for any occasion. This historic, imposing house became a hotel in 1931. Great Fosters possesses a plethora of original details and features contained within its sumptuous lounge through to its luxurious bedrooms. From the m25 to Great Fosters Turn off junction 13 on the m25 and continue along until you reach the first roundabout. Go straight over and keep in the left hand lane for Egham. At the end of the slip road under the motorway bridge, turn first left at the large roundabout into The Avenue Turn left at the mini roundabout (Police Station on the left) into Vicarage Road. Continue along vicarage Road, over the railway lines to the roundabout at the end. Turn right at the roundabout into New Wickham Lane and continue over the m25 motorway. Turn left at the next roundabout into Stroude Road and Great Fosters is approximately 500 yards on the left hand side. From the A30 to Great Fosters From Bagshot to Staines on the A30, turn right at the traffic lights by the Wheatsheaf into Christchurch Road Travel over the roundabout and continue past 2 parades of shops on the right. Turn left at the traffic lights into Stroude Road. Great Fosters is approximately three quarters of a mile on the right hand side. By Public Transport By rail to egham station. Regular service from London Waterloo. Great Fosters is approximately 1 mile from the station. Heathrow airport. Heathrow Airport is approximately 7 miles away. On leaving the airport follow signs for the M4 and M25 motorways (towards Gatwick). Leave the M25 at junction 13 and follow the directions as above.
