Transformed from its late Victorian origins, Ellingham House, an elegant Victorian villa, was built in 1897 and has had a tip to toe refurbishment and now offers luxury bed and breakfast boutique style accommodation with the best in modern comforts and a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Relax in style as all bedrooms have good levels of space and natural light. They are decorated in a contemporary style with quality furniture, furnishings, fabrics and seating, superior mattresses and feather and down duvets. Rooms 1, 2 and 3 all have plenty of space to accommodate an extra bed. Breakfast is served in our morning room which has the benefit of east and south facing windows, giving the room a light and airy feel. This rich and elegant room with it’s high ceilings and warm red walls is furnished with antique furniture, tables and pictures. Breakfast is served from 8.00 am to 9.00 am Monday to Friday and 8:30am til 9:30am Saturday and Sunday, though we may be able to serve this earlier should you be here on business. Our menu is shown below: We are located in a quiet conservation area of Colwyn Bay that is both green and leafy and yet only a 5 minute walk away from the town centre and main line station, the sea front promenade with it’s Blue Flag beach, and Rydal Penrhos School. The A55 North Wales expressway is only a 3 minute drive from Ellingham House. The local area offers many places of interest with historic walled town of Conwy, Bodnant Garden, and the Snowdonia National Park a short drive away. Whatever your reason for staying, whether it be for business or pleasure, you will be well looked after at Ellingham House.
