Fourteen kilometres from the sea, 22 kilometres from Cefalu and next to Castelbuono, a small Sicilian inland town (430 m. above sea level), this castle stands dating from the 1800s. Boasting a magnificent view which stretches from the Madonie mountains to the Tyrrhenian Coast. Guests are accommodated in elegant apartments facing the internal courtyard of the castle. The apartments have been restored to its full former glory. Guests can also enjoy a guided tour round the old olive-press and to some of the rooms in the main building. The castle itself is surrounded by a centuries-old olive grove, perfect for a gentle stroll. At an altitude of 240m, on a wooded spur of the Madonie mountains, facing the clear blue sea of Pollina, the nineteenth-century country estate of Tenuta Luogomarchese is set amongst old medieval hamlets and fishing villages. The old farm building, complete with a tiny adjacent chapel, has been restored preserving much of the original structure, enclosing a characteristic courtyard covered with misteria and surrounded by palm trees giving fragrance and refreshing shade.
