This is a fantastic hotel in a stunning location, but if that's not enough there are a range of extra facilities for you to enjoy. As ever there is a gym and Spa using Elemis products but for the more adventurous the hotel can organise sightseeing trips by boat! The daily sightseeing and boat trips on a 42 foot (12.8m) high performance Rodman 1250 fly bridge cruiser on the Atlantic Explorer can take in the inshore areas around Caherciveen or out to the Skellig/Blasket Islands or for romantics there are the Atlantic Sunset or Stargazing tours. (06.08rt) All 51 rooms are medium in size and have on-suite facilities with bath and shower. The Watermarque is a boutique hotel and the rooms are decorated in greys white and blues carpets with occasional flushes of colour in furniture and curtains. They are all equipped with flat screen televisions showing a number of satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities and the beds are excellent and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant is located across the bar from the lobby and carries a nautical theme, it is fairly small with room for approx 50 diners so it is an intimate and calming experience to eat there. There are a la carte and table d'hote menus to choose from and dishes are typically modern international cuisine. Being that the hotel is a stones throw from the Atlantic Ocean the fish is particularly good as it is freshly sourced each day form the immediate area (In particular the Turbot was very good!!). The bar is sat on the ground floor and is comfortable and well designed with lots of seating and large picture windows making it light and friendly - The staff obviously help as well! The hotel is newly built so the exterior is very clean and welcoming, there are 3 floors and the lobby and bar framed by large wooden windows with a green stain - very understated and sophisticated. The lobby is marble floored and relatively small, there is seating available and drinks can be served to you if needed.
