Hotel Phoenix in Broenderslev has 40 rooms all of which with shower or bath- TV- the possibility of Internet access and luggage and room service. Some rooms can be used as family rooms with an extra bed. Golf weekends- golf holidays and weekend stays with a 3-course gourmet menu. Cafe and piano bar- billard- dart- table tennis and solarium. Playroom for the children in the summer. Free parking in the yard behind the hotel. Hotel Phoenix is situated in Broenderslev - the flourishing heart of Vendsyssel. Originally there was a little village here but when the railway from Aalborg via Hjoerring to Frederikshavn got a station here in 1871 the development started. The town got both an iron foundry- a metal works- a brewery- a dairy- a pharmacy- a hospital and a school - and also a large cattle market. Broenderslev is Denmarks second youngest market town with municipal privileges from 1921 and the market traditions still flourish in the yearly market - Store Broenderslev Marked in September. The leading hotel in Broenderslev is Hotel Phoenix in Bredgade and this has been the case for more than a century. On the white mansion-like facade it says that the hotel was founded in 1906 and trough all the years the style- atmosphere and service have been first-class. Today the owner is Elly Jurgensen and under her leadership the hotel has been thoroughly renovated in recent years - and later on awarded for the beautiful architectural result. In the cosy restaurant of the hotel Raadhuskaelderen they serve both a la carte- a 2-course Phoenix menu or a well-cooked dinner of the day Dagens middag - all at reasonable prices. In the cafe of the hotel you can have a cup of coffee and a delicious cake. The hotel has room for parties- meetings and conferences with up to 200 participants. From the hotel there is only half an hour by car to the lovely North Sea beaches in Loenstrup- Loekken and Blokhus. Furthermore the amusement park Faarup Sommerland and Aalborg are not far away.
