Courtenay House is an adults only bed and breakfast located in Bovey Tracey, the gateway to Dartmoor. It makes an ideal location for those visiting the area. Bovey Tracey is a picturesque town right on the edge of Dartmoor, located just 8 miles away from Torquay. It provides an excellent base from which to explore. There are numerous scenic walks and cycle paths nearby. There are also a number of riding centres in the area if you want to go riding. Courtenay House is a Victorian house that still maintains many of its original features. There is a homely atmosphere full of chintz and period charm with old china tableware and lace tablecloths. An ideal location for somewhere to relax and unwind or to sample the many adventures of exploring South Devon's glorious countryside and less than 25 minutes away from the coast. Bovey Tracey is one of the main gateway towns to Dartmoor, with a number of unique visitor attractions and a good mixture of shops. A pretty cob and Dartmoor-granite built town, situated on the River Bovey it is home to the internationally renowned Devon Guild of Craftsmen, based in a 19th century water mill on the river. Other local attractions include the House of Marbles glass blowing and visitor centre, the Craft Centre and the National Trusts Parke Estate.
