Beroun with its neighborhood belongs with no doubt to historically most significant regions of our country. Royal town Beroun lies on the confluence of Berounka and Litavka rivers and it is attractive for its historical sights and rich cultural and sport events and splendid surrounding. It is the gate to two protected landscape areas-esky kras and Kivoklat region. This region has hundreds of cultural monuments and also tens of historical and archeological areas so registered in the state list of historical landmarks. With regard to the fact that Beroun is located about 18km from Prague with direct highway approach (D5) its traffic conditions are excellent and every traveling to Prague and to other places in Czech republic is easy and quick. It is possible to travel from Beroun also directly on the road of 1.class to larger towns Kladno, Pibram a Rakovnik.
