Address: C.da Scolaro Cisterna zona vigne Adrano, Adrano, Italy
Le Cisterne is a rural, yet wonderfully refined, restored 19th century farmhouse. Built from local lava stone, its traditional Sicilian architecture has been wonderfully preserved. We're talking about stone archways and wood-beamed ceilings. The welcome you'll receive is just as impressive, too. With staff as friendly as they come, you'll never feel like a room number. Sat in the foothills of Mount Etna, Le Cisterne is secluded in 20 hectares of oak and chestnut woodland, which falls within the National Park of Etna - one of the most beautiful nature parks of Italy. So you will find uninterrupted peace and quiet. And the perfect place to soak it all up is by the pool. Sunk in to a pretty terrace, it's flanked by sun loungers, parasols and a bar area. If you want to get away from the splashes for a while though, you'll find a pretty courtyard which overlooks the countryside as well as relaxing gardens. And if you're traveling with children, there's a children's playground that are sure to entertain them. In the old millhouse you will find an intimate restaurant serving delicious Sicilian cuisine. The menu here changes daily. And then there are the apartments with the cosy lounge, kitchenette and a terrace overlooking the pool. Rural and relaxing, Le Cisterne is one of those places you'll be booking for your next getaway before you've even left.
