The Award Winning Bell inn is a place whose warm and welcoming atmosphere means that time spent here, lunchtimes or evenings are more like being home with excellent beer, wine, food & company. As soon as you're through the door you're aware that the pub is more than it seems, good humoured banter and lots of laughter come from around the roaring log fire. The locals Bar is well stocked offering a wide range of Hook Norton draught, cask conditioned ales, wines, spirits, soft drinks and includes regular changing guest and seasonal ales. John & Trisha the Landlord & Landlady are justifiably proud to have been awarded a "Beautiful Beer" Gold Award. The lounge Bar: A striking Inglenook fire place commands centre stage in this delightful room. The Music Room: Is the meeting place for the local theatre group, bell ringer's and Morris Dancer's. Infact, any excuse for a get together! Soft lighting, classic furniture and striking decor gives the Music Room its unique ambiance, a perfect meeting place for family and friends. Wilfred's Lounge: Newly refurbished, Wilfred's offers you a smoke free environment with comfy sofas to chill out on, or table seating to sit at and chat over a tasty meal. Check out the wall paintings signed by Wilfred himself. Great for Business customers to bring their clients/customers in for a light lunch whilst still being able to work with our free WiFi access, or for that cosy evening meal for two with dimmed lights, and soft background music this is the place to really relax in. Accommodation: We have two delightfully furnished letting rooms, with Wireless Internet Access, TV, radio alarm, tea & coffee making facilities. Our Inn has been awarded 3 stars by The English Tourist Board and is also recommended in “The Good Pub Guide" The Garden: Newly created, the secluded garden is the perfect place to hide away during those long hot summer afternoons or spend a leisurely quiet evening listening to the sound of the fountain.

2. Red Lion Hotel Adderbury

A magnificent coaching inn steeped in history, overlooking the village green in this, one of the most beautiful of Oxfordshire villages. Luxuriously appointed and sympathetically maintained in the finest traditional manner, with a wealth of old oak and stone chimney pieces of considerable interest to lovers of our English heritage. Be prepared to duck low beams and meander narrow door and hallways. Long hidden features discovered during restoration indicate that, this ancient Royalist owned hostelry dates from before the Civil War. A list of landlords has been proudly retained since 1690 and is displayed in the bar where, traditional ales and fine wines are served from cool cellars and stone vaults. The Red Lion serves the finest of English and Continental country fayre in a restaurant of character, whilst the kitchens are fitted with the most modern equipment in pursuit of excellence by our Chef and his team. The Restaurant is of withstanding quality on two distinct levels, seats 44 guests in total comfort and was once unrecognisably The Bake House and The Brewery.
